Crank Peel Machine, Auto Peel Machine or Overclock?

Choose the purchase by watching one load. If you spend the whole cycle turning a handle, a motor frees your hands. If your automatic drums run empty, adding another one leaves two machines waiting. If potatoes queue at the input while the water outlet stays clear, faster processing can help.

Use the crank as a bridge from the knife

The community progression reference records a cost of 20 for the Crank Peel Machine on 1.0.1. Supply the machine with raw potatoes, stand at the crank and hold the interaction input (E on the cited keyboard layout). Watch for output while you work the crank. It still needs an operator. If an already-cut potato comes back out, check the load rather than assuming the crank never engaged.

For the Turn the crank Journal task, put raw potatoes in the upper opening and hold E at the handle. Watch the machine-output objective while you operate it; bench work contributes to different goals. The third Crank Peel Machine upgrade gives that drum a motor. Players who thought an extra Auto Peel Machine had appeared after the third upgrade were seeing this change. Compare the physical drum with the separate Auto Peel Machine line in the shop.

Decide when a motor pays for itself

The first Auto Peel Machine was recorded at 280. Later purchases in the same reference cost 420 and 630 for the second and third. Read your own current terminal price before saving for a repeat purchase. Try hauling a load while an existing motor processes the previous one: if you get back to empty drums, transport has already become your next limiting step.

Read the level fraction next to Requisition. In the photographed menu the Auto Peel Machine is at 1/3 and the next price is 420. Someone who has already paid for one drum is seeing a different price than a first-time buyer. Check the separate Auto Peel Machine row for the Full line objective, even if your formerly hand-powered crank is already running by itself.

Compare Overclock against a delivery upgrade

The community reference describes Overclock as doubling drum speed. That helps a continuously supplied line. With a starved hopper, improve delivery first; with peeled potatoes overflowing around the water-channel corner, clear the outlet first. For quests asking specifically for machine output, the developer changed puppy-peeled potatoes in 1.0.1 so they no longer qualify. Judge the trial from what the drum itself produces.

The Automation menu describes Overclock as a one-level upgrade to the speed of every drum. Watch one gantry pass before spending. If it waits for a sack while the receivers have space, haulage is slow. If a bag arrives and the drums have no free space while the water outlet drains normally, more peeling capacity addresses that particular queue.
