Find the button even when the yard prompt is gone
The red hold-R notice was removed in hotfix 1.0.2. Its disappearance is expected on that build; use the pause menu to reach the action. Hotfix 1.0.1 reduced the Repile cooldown to sixty seconds, so allow a minute between attempts. Repeatedly tapping a key does not test whether the menu action succeeded.
Before activating recovery, note the missing item and its last position. After activating Repile, walk to the outside mound and test the result by collecting one accessible potato. The developer directs players there even for missing stock that originated inside the prep area. A still-empty spot under the workbench alone does not establish that recovery failed.
Match the symptom to the recovery
For potatoes under the prep bin, note where the pieces vanished, run Repile, then inspect the yard pile. If you took potatoes out of the bottom and left an arch hanging overhead, look for a usable surface after the reset. The same menu has a separate lost-sack action: use that if the missing object is a bag you need to reuse.
Use the object to pick the action. Loose tubers in scenery or suspended above an arch call for Repile. A finished bag beneath the pile calls for Bring Lost Sacks to Pile. A stuck wheelbarrow has its own recovery. In the linked photo, the gap beneath the heap is large enough to see straight through. Compare the edge of your mound before and after using the potato action.
When the yard looks empty but the quota is short
Check the machine, channel and loose floor pieces before concluding that the remainder has vanished. If you saw an unpeeled potato wash away, the developer advised trying Repile and did not expect that incident alone to ruin the achievement. If recovery still fails, give the Troubleshooting report the displayed quota, what you saw escape, and whether the reset changed the visible pile.
Separate two end-of-shift symptoms. If the quota is short, check ordinary stock, including the vacuum and machine hoppers. If the quota has finished and the special drop is suspended over the crane, that is the separate supply-drop bug addressed in 1.0.2. Take a picture of the objective as well as the missing object's location when reporting an older save.
